Hurricane Season

The 2010 Hurricane Season is here. Hurricane Season is from June 1 through November 30 each year. Predictions suggest an above average season. The names for the 2010 hurricanes are: Alex, Bonnie, Colin, Danielle, Earl, Fiona, Gaston, Hermine, Igor, Julia, Karl, Lisa, Matthew, Nicole, Otto, Paula, Richard, Shary, Tomas, Virginie, and Walter. With hurricanes you can experience extremely high winds, monstrous amounts of rain and the possible even tornadoes. But, one of the deadliest aspects of a hurricane is the storm surge. Almost all coastal cities in Florida are susceptible to storm surge. So, stock up on can goods and other essentials now before a storm comes. Good luck Punta Gorda and hopefully we don’t get hit.
